Private Event Policies at Tranquillity Vineyard: Food, Decor & Group Bookings
Private Event Policies at Tranquillity Vineyard: Food, Decor, and Group Bookings
Before you lock in a date at Tranquillity Vineyard & Winery in Middlebury, CT, there are a few policies worth knowing. They are the questions our Events & Guest Coordinator is asked most often, and knowing the answers up front makes planning your celebration on Lake Quassapaug much smoother.
When a Private Reservation Is Required
Any group of 12 or more guests must book a private reservation rather than arriving as walk-ins. Which space you reserve depends on your headcount: Silo Seating holds up to 8 guests, the Wine Club Lounge up to 15, The Bullpen up to 60, and The White Barn up to 125. Our breakdown of private spaces by group size covers each one in detail.
Food and Beverage Policy
Guests are welcome to bring their own food. If you would rather not coordinate the catering yourself, food and catering options are available from our sister restaurants, Vyne and Brewbury. We also offer small bites on site, including crudite, cheese, and antipasto boxes.
Outside beverages are a different matter. Alcohol and bottled water brought from outside are not permitted anywhere on the property. This supports our winery license and keeps the guest experience consistent, so all wine and beer for your event is served by us.
Decor and Furniture
Outside furniture and decor are not permitted, and all furniture on the property must remain in place. Tranquillity Farm is a historic estate, and these rules protect the buildings and grounds. If decor matters to your event, speak with our Events & Guest Coordinator early so we can talk through what is possible in your chosen space.
A few other details: we are open daily from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, a 30-minute grace period applies to late arrivals, and guided tours of the winemaking area can be arranged by special request. Children are welcome, and leashed, well-behaved dogs and cats are allowed in designated areas.
Ready to Book Your Event
Share your date, guest count, and the type of celebration, and we will recommend the right space and walk you through pricing. Visit our private events page, send an inquiry, or call (203) 518-4444.
